Progress news

Felipe Orts achieved an overwhelming victory at Elorrio with Progress Phantom CX wheels. The Ginestar-Delikia Sport rider gains advantage on top of the overall Spanish Cyclocross Cup classification and takes all the options to win with just a race to go on

Cyclocross season has started and in Progress we love to get muddy. Our deal to equippe Ginestar-Delikia Sport team with Progress Phantom CX wheels has been successful again. Felipe Orts showed all his skills in the basque country and won the third round of the Spanish Cyclocross Cup that took place in Elorrio meanwhile Ismael Esteban recovered sensations and finished 4th.

With this victory added to the previous one achieved at Laudio and the second place at Karranza he gets all the chances to win the overall lacking just one more race at Valencia. The spanish rider is the leader with 70 points, 18 more than Aitor Hernandez with only 25 points to fight for. So on, with a 9th place in Ciudad de Valencia Ciclocross, the Spanish Cyclocross Cup is in his pocket.

The dominium of the valencia’s cyclist of the Ginestar-Delikia Sport is superlative. At Elorrio Felipe Orts took the front of the race from the beginning and pushed that hard that none of his contesters could do anything to cut the 15 seconds gap he gained in the first lap, on the contrary, the gap kept increasing. Ismael Esteban, current Spanish Champion, finished in 4th place despite having a puncture recovering good feeling after the two first rounds.

Next appointment for both riders is this weekend in the fourth round of the Cyclocross World Cup that will take place in Bogense (Denmark). Felipe and Esteban will face a fast and technical track with the best cyclocross riders in what will be the teaser of the 2019 World Cyclocross Championship on the same track with grass, gravel and tarmac.
