New Progress wheels in Air and A-Prime models add U-Shape profile developed and designed in the wind tunnel with a big improvement in aerodynamic
Progress keeps getting better its products quality and now is the turn for wheel profile. We’re talking about the new wheel profile U-Shape designed in a curvy way that add many benefits compared to its previous version V-Shape built in 90º angle.
Due to the tests in the wind tunnel we confirmed that the curvy profile of U-Shape shows a better aerodynamic performance and especially less resistance to lateral wind. In this way we achieve to profile wheels like Air or A-Prime with U-Shape an optimisation of aerodynamic relationship and a better performance of the cyclist.
The new curvy form that developed Progress also allows to ride with more confort and security with less pressure on the tires, a skill that gets amplified thanks to the stiffnesss of the plane spekes. But the advantatges of U-Shape technology are far from stopping here. The width of Air and A-Prime wheels grow from 22 to 24 mm with the objective of being able to mount bigger tyres without an aerodynamic penalisation.
Air and A-Prime models are built only with hight modulus fiber carbon and have 38 and 50 mm of profile respectively. They are the best choice to gain inertia in flat terrains but without leaving apart its polyvalent character. To its aerodynamic skills they sum a very reduced weight, 1410 and 1490 gr for their clincher version, a factor that makes them become the ideal choice for those who look for the best performance and the maximum durability.
